MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF THE BRYAN+COLLEGE STATION PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM ADVISORY BOARD
• November 17,-1998
On the 17th day of November 1998,the Bryan+College Station Public Library Advisory Board of the cities
of Bryan and College Station, Texas,met in a regular meeting in the meeting room at the Bryan Public Library,
201 E. 26th Street,Bryan, Texas, and the following members were present:

Mrs. Glenda Duncan, Youth Services Librarian; and Mrs. Jo Berg, President-Friends of the Bryan+ College
Station Public Library System.
• 3. President Larry Ringer called the meeting to order.
4. The previous minutes for September 1998 were approved.
5. Monthly statistics for September and October 1998 were discussed. Mrs. Mounce reported that both
libraries are busy.
6. Business: The Library Board toured the Carnegie Library construction site after the regular business
meeting. Mrs. Mounce said the project is ahead of schedule and the library will be completed in the spring.
1999.
Larry Ringer introduced Mrs. Jo Berg who will fill the position vacated by Mary Evelyn Tielking on January 1,
1999. Mr. Ringer presented Mrs. Tielking with a paperweight in appreciation of her service on the Library
Board for 4 years.
7. Larry Ringer announced that the January 1999 meeting will be held at the College Station Library. He
commented that the Brazos Valley Arts Council will dedicate a sculpture purchased for the College Station
Library on January 12, 1999.
8. After the tour of the Carnegie Library, the meeting adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
