A special meeting of the Library Board was held Monday,Jan. 27, 1997 for the purpose of discussing representation of College Station residents on the Library Advisory board. Attending were Mary Evelyn Tielking,president; Elaine Vance,Bill Barzak, Oscar Davenport,Philip Wymola, and David Moore. Auston Kerley was absent due to illness in the family. Elaine Vance moved that when the new College Station Library is built that each city be equally represented on the Library Board. The board would be 8 persons, 4 from Bryan and 4 from College Station. Oscar Davenport seconded the motion. All members present voted aye and the motion passed..
