On the 20th of July, 1993 the Library Board of the City of Bryan, Texas convened in a regular session in the Bryan Library auditorium at 5 : 15 p.m. The following members were present: 2 . Mounce, City Librarian, and Mrs. Laura Mills, secretary . 3. There were no visitors . 4. The minutes were approved as mailed. 5 . The statistics for May and June were provided in the mailout . 6 . There were no committee reports . 7 . In the Librarian' s report, Mrs . Mounce presented the reorganization chart for the librarian ' s positions . She reported that the JTPA program had placed Amk:three students for summer work in the library . The Doak Estate had distributed $10 ,000 to the library with further contributions to come. 8 . A. The Carnegie Master Plan will be on the agenda at the July 27th City Council meeting . 9 . A. The City Librarian reported that the two Board members thought be going off the Board are to serve another year . B . The reorganization of librarians was discussed. C. 1 . Angela Alford, Branch Librarian, reported on statistics that showed an increase in circulation of 2-5% in most areas in the last year . Summer Reading Club enrollment was down from last year . 2. Kathleen Hannan reported that 13 disks of Bibliofile had been sent to Bob Gaines for updating the Union Catalog . She reported that Summer Reading Club registration was slightly down from last year; an average of 200 attends the Wednesday activity and that more summer school classes were making visits to the library. 3. Nan Ross introduced Margaret Curci , the new librarian who will work in both adult reference and youth services . 4. Ann Moore reported that the Bookmobile was no longer going to the Federal Prison Camp due to further restrictions . She reported that the Bookmobile made stops at the Summer Fun Camps . Circulation from the nursing home visits showed an increase. 10 . Mrs . Mounce mentioned that a time change for the meeting may be discussed. 11 .
