The information is used by that State Library to accredit public libraries, based on criteria established by the Library Systems Act, for accreditation by the Texas State Library. This is a summary of the report, comparing previous years, as far back as 1 1981 when I was named the City Librarian on Nov, 1, 1981 by then City Manager Ernest R. Clark. The first column shows the per cent increase/decrease of the past ten years, comparing 1981 to 1991. Following is a year to year comparison from 1985 to 1991. College Station signed a contract with Bryan to provide public library services in 1986/87.
