Dear Mr. Brown:
I am writing on behalf of the City of Bryan, the Library Board and the
Bryan Public Library to express our appreciation for the donation of
the Texas Instruments Professional desktop computer and printer.
It was an exciting day when Jack Koenig called to-say he would be
delivering the computer to the library!
IIIWe are busy formulating our plans. Today the Friends of the Library
agreed to purchase software, supplies and some accessories to help
launch the second stage of this project.
I visited the KLS store this week and had a demonstration of a tutorial
which we plan to purchase in order to start preliminary training of our
staff.
I spoke with Mr. Koenig about any training that T.I . has available and
he indicated he would get that information for me.
I will keep you informed about our progress.
Again, I thank you for your generosity.
Sincerely,

Dear Mayor Halter:
On behalf of the Bryan Library Board of Trustees I am writing to offer
our participation on your citizens advisory committee to explore expansion
of library services in College Station.
In this regard you may be interested to know that the Library Board has
recently undertaken a study of the space needs of the Bryan Library in
order to plan and make recommendations for expansion of our facilities
and services.
• City Librarian Clara Mounce would be happy to furnish any information you
would like to consider, especially in the area of contact with personnel
of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission or the Central Texas
Library System, whose expertise in library services is available to your
committee.
We further offer assistance to your advisory committee for any of its
meetings by recommending the use of the Bryan Library auditorium.
Sincerely,
