Historic Preservation Committee

The City Council may or may not attend the Historic Preservation Committee Regular Meeting

1. Called to order and announced a Quorum @ 4 pm.
2. Annette Naylor, Edelmiro Escamilla and Justin Lopez requested absences and it was approved by the
committee.
3. The committee voted unanimously to approve the minutes.
4. No visitors present.
5. Katherine Edwards meet with the City of College Station attorneys and they came up with a letter that
made the owners aware that the committee wanted to include a photo of the house in the tour brochure.
They were to sign the letter giving approval and send it back to David Schmitz. Those letters will be
signed by Lou Hodges and then will be mailed out with a stamped return envelope ASAP.
6. The American Mile bricks are in and will be installed by the crews by the end of January.
The Committee has not received any Historic Marker applications and Marker#1 was put on a pole
by the first City Hall.
Brooke is working with the Barron family to set up a time to conduct an interview., more
information to come.
No Website discussion.
Brooke Linsenbardt is working on updating Project Hold so that it is more user friendly for the
public and less busy. She is also going through and scanning documents.
7. David had nothing to report.
