Historic Preservation Committee
Monday,January 04,2016—4:00 pm
The City Council may or may not attend the Historic Preservation Committee Regular Meeting

1. Called to order and announced a Quorum @ 4 pm.
2. Tina Evans and Annette Naylor requested absences, committee approved request.
3. The committee voted unanimously to approve the minutes.
4. No visitors were present.
5. Lou Hodges will make the annual report to Council in January, he will talk about Historical
Preservation Luncheons,progress on American Mile,the historical literature in waiting rooms and the
progression of the web page and the facebook page.
6. Gabby Salazar will coordinate the brick order, at this time we need to order 75 bricks.
No new Historic Marker applications. Look at getting information about program on
blog/brochure/news with Jay.
Jared reported that his intern Brooke will be done with the Oral History Transcription Project by the
end of January.
No Oral History interviews to report.
The Committee voted to ask the Council to raise the fee from $5 to $7 for Exploring History Lunch
Lecture to cover the cost of lunch. The first 7 months of 2016 have been completed for guest
speakers.

9. Invite Henry Mayo to be a visitor at an upcoming meeting
10. Jerry Cooper and Lou Hodges brought a couple items of interest.
