Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present With a quorum present, the Historic Preservation Committee was called to order by Chair Lou Hodges at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3`d, 2014 at the Municipal Court, 300 Krenek Tap Road, College Station, Texas 77842. 2. Hear Visitors Multi-Media Coordinator Mike Neu and Senior Services Coordinator Marci Rodgers visited the meeting. 3. Possible action and discussion on absence requests. Pat Cleere was excused for illness. 4. Possible action and discussion of previous minutes. MOTION: The Committee voted unanimously to approve the minutes. 5. Presentation and discussion of 75th anniversary expenses by Mike Neu, Multi- Media Coordinator. RM030614 Minutes Page 1 Mike Neu presented the final budget of the 75th events and the committee discussed the use of the remaining funds. 6. Committee discussion and possible action regarding the 2014 Exploring History Lunch Series, including update regarding specific efforts to secure sponsors for 2014 Exploring History Lunch Series. The committee discussed potential speakers and sponsors for the Exploring History Lunch Series. A subcommittee consisting of Libby Vastano, Tina Evans, and Katherine Edwards was created to secure sponsors. 7. Activity Report—Jared Donnelly, Historic Records Coordinator. Jared Donnelly gave a report on activities. Of note, the Hershel Burgess ledger has been scanned and is now part of Project HOLD. 8. Presentation and discussion of historical items presented by committee members, which may include historical books, pictures. artifacts, scrapbooks, or other memorabilia. No action will be taken. Lou Hodges and Jerry Cooper both brought historical items to show the committee. 9. Discussion and possible action on future agenda items. No items were suggested. 10. Adjournment MOTION: The Committee moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:20 p.m. on Monday, March 3rd, 2014. The motion carried unanimously. Chair ATTEST: Secretary RM030614 Minutes Page 2
