SUBJECT: ITEMS OF INTEREST
1. I have included a great deal of information with your agenda
packet for next Tuesday' s board meeting . Several items such
as the memorandum about tennis lessons concern items on the .
, agenda. Otters are letters we have received or responses to
questions from Board Members .
2 . The agenda for, this month' s Board meeting is quite lenghty
and I expect. tthe Meeting :to last longer than normal .. The
meeting will1)0held in the Council Chambers at City Hall
instead of our off4:cej:due::::Ip the public hearing concerning
the use of Parkland Dedication Funds ..

mation concerning the historical plaques,, at the meeting Tuesday
night . Also, I have enclosed a memo concerning the relocation
of the cemetary. I am afraid that the City may be caught in
the middle of a dispute between the Richard Carter heirs over
this issue. I don' t think that they have been contacted
by Mr. McQuaid and some may disagree with the relocation.
The legal issue may be resolved, however, the ethical issue
still remains .
5 . The Industrial Foundation is proposing a land trade at the
the regional park site. I have enclosed a memo and schematic
drawing that illustrates how the park would be effected.
I believe that the revised configuration is in our best interest
due to the frontage on Rock Prairie Road that we will gain.
The disadvantage is that we will lose a good area for camping

as origional planned on the concept approved by the Board
and City Council . The overall acreage for the park site will
increase from 372 acres to approximately 420 acres . This
item is scheduled for discussion at Tuesday' s meeting .
6 . I will be at Ft . Hood for annual training during the periods
May 31st - June 8th and June 19th - July 5th. Any questions
or problems arising from the Board should be directed to
Tony Cisneros or the appropriate Division Head. Also, you
may visit me in the vicinity of Hill 332 at North Fort Hood
training area if you so desire .
