Call to Order. 2. Possible Action and discussion on absence requests. 3. Initial Hear Visitors. Visitors after stating name and address for the record may address the Historic Preservation Committee for three (3) minutes. Topics for deliberation shall be discussed under the appropriate agenda item, placed on the agenda of a subsequent meeting, or assigned to staff for research. However, a statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be issued. 4.Possible action and discussion to approve meeting minutes of regular meeting of May 14, 2006. 5.Report, possible action, and discussion regarding planning a tour of historic neighborhoods for City Council. 6.Report, possible action, and discussion regarding presentation by Olivia Burnside and Lance Simms addressing the steps necessary to develop a Historic District and Landmark Ordinance. 7.Report, possible action, and discussion regarding the committee practices and procedures. 8.Report, possible action, and discussion regarding possibility of changing the meeting starting time of the Historic Preservation Committee meetings. Project Updates: 9. Report, possible action, and discussion regarding the Veterans Park American Mile project. 10. Report, possible action, and discussion regarding Project HOLD. 11. Report, possible action, and discussion regarding the Exploring History Lunch Lecture Series. 12. Calendar of pertinent past and upcoming community events pertaining to historical interests. Past June 2 Exploring History Lunch Lecture: Preacher Tales Upcoming July 19 Exploring History Lunch Lecture: Fire Training Aug 16 Exploring History Lunch Lecture: History of Women at A&M 13. Final Hear Visitors – as per direction in agenda item number 3. 14. Possible action and discussion on future agenda items – A Historic Preservation Member may inquire about a subject for which notice has not be given. A statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be given. Any deliberation shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting. 15. Adjourn.
