The City Council may seek advice from its attorney regarding a pending or contemplated litigation subject or settlement offer or attorney-client privileged information. Litigation is an ongoing process and questions may arise as to a litigation tactic or settlement offer, which needs to be discussed with the City Council. Upon occasion the City Council may need information from its attorney as to the status of a pending or contemplated litigation subject or settlement offer or attorney-client privileged information. Staff Recommendation: Presented for information and discussion. Summary: Texas Central Railway is a private, for-profit Texas company, working to bring high-speed, high-tech rail to Texas with a route between Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston in the next ten years. The bullet trains are anticipated to move at speeds over 200 miles per hour with a travel time of 90 minutes between the two metropolitan areas. Texas Central Railway is working closely with JR Central to utilize the N700-I Bullet Train system. Budget & Financial Summary: None Reviewed and Approved by Legal: N/A Attachments: None 12
