1. Call meeting to order.
2. Presentation, possible action and discussion regarding a presentation on construction alternatives for the
Wellborn Road and George Bush Drive grade separation project by TxDOT representatives.
3. Presentation, possible action and discussion regarding transportation planning.
4. Presentation. possible action and discussion regarding the city's efforts to protect and enhance existing
roadway capacity.
5. Presentation, possible action and discussion regarding the city's pavement management plan.
6. Presentation, possible action, and discussion regarding a resolution to create an Ad Hoc Committee of the
City Council to discuss Compensation and Benefits.
7. Executive Session will be held in the Carters Creek WWTP Training Room.
Competitive Matters {Gov't Code Section 551.086): possible action: The City Council may deliberate, vote,
or take final action on a competitive matter as that term is defined in Gov't Code Section 552.1 33 in closed
session. The following is a general representation of the subject matter to be considered:

Council Ad Hoc Committee for Compensation and Benefits

Agenda Caption: Presentation, possible action, and discussion regarding a
resolution to create an Ad Hoc Committee of the City Council to discuss
Compensation and Benefits.
Recommendation(s): Staff recommends approval of the resolution.
Summary:
On May 14, 2012 staff recommended that the City Council form a subcommittee to
discuss compensation and benefit issues. There are a number of policy issues that
are proposed to be brought to this subcommittee including policies related to overall
compensation, employee benefits including health insurance and retirement. Retiree
health insurance is another area where policy direction will be needed.
Budget & Financial Summary: Compensation costs makes up the largest portion
of the City’s operating budget. In FY 12 total compensation costs were budgeted at
$60,148,359.
