Issue: Northgate Revitalization and Development

Feldman, Charles Wood, Ex -officio: Tom Brymer
Goal: To facilitate redevelopment and revitalization in Northgate through a program addressing
existing transportation (pedestrian and vehicular) issues; parking and shopping obstacles in the
area; health and safety related issues; the physical appearance of the area; preservation; and
obsolete infrastructure.
Objectives:
1. Complete design of the NG Parking Garage and initiate construction.
2. Improve pedestrian access within and to the Northgate area.
3. Rehabilitate residential streets in Northgate.
4. Promote health and safety in NG through better street lighting and traffic controls.
5. Continue the Facade Improvement Program and other ongoing efforts to preserve
the character of the area (i.e. design review).

6. Identify annual funding of infrastructure redevelopment in the Northgate area. -
7. Improve the aesthetics of the neighborhood
8. Clarify density related issues through ordinance and design guidelines revisions.
9. Review and make recommendations on NG development process.
