Called City Council Meeting
November 25, 1975

MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Holt, Councilmen Gardner, Adams, Bell, Dozier, Bravenec;
City Manager Bardell' Director of Public Works Ford; City
Engineer Ash; Building Official Koehler
MEMBERS ABSENT- Councilman Halter
VISITORS PRESENT- See guest register.
Agenda Item No. 1 -- Consideration of an amendment to the Electrical Ordinance.
Councilman Dozier asked if the proposed amendment would be as safe as our present
ordimance. Mr. John Dennison, member of the Electrical Examining Board which
recommended the ordinance amendment, responded it would not be any more unsafe
than the present ordinance. Mr. Dennison explained that the reason for the
amendment was to remove a restriction more stringent than required by the National
Electrical Code and to bring our ordinance in agreement with the City of Bryan.
Mayor Holt pointed out that the ordinance with the proposed amendment would be in
conformity of the National Electrical Code.
Councilman Adams moved to adopt the recommendation of the Electrical Examining
Board to amend the ordinance. Councilman Bravenec seconded.
The motion passed by the following vote'
FOR --- Mayor Holt, Councilmen Bell, Gardner, Adams, Bravenec
AGAINST --- Councilman Dozier

Mayor Holt called the meeting to executive session to discuss personnel appointments.
