Action to be Recommended to the Commission by the Building Official or Fire Marshal: That the structure be declared unsafe, substandard and a hazard to the public health, safety and welfare. That the building should be secured. Description of the hearing: The Building and Standards Commission Chairperson will conduct the public hearing. The Commission shall provide each party an opportunity to present evidence and cross- examine witnesses at the hearing. Public comment will also be accepted at the meeting. All owners, lienholders, or mortgagees will be required to submit at the hearing proof of the scope of any work that may be required to comply with the ordinance and the time it will take to reasonably perform the work. If the owner fails to comply with the Commission's order, the City of College Station may perform the work required to abate any violations.
