Dear David,
Thank you for your recommendation to the Plumbing Appeals and Advisory
Board that CPVC be accepted as an approved material in College Station, we
appreciate your support. After speaking with you and Ray Chadderdon of JPI, it
sounds like College Station will not approve CPVC as an accepted material in
time for JPI to use CPVC on their project in College Station.
I have a proposition to solve this issue in a timely manner. I realize in College
Station you're allowed only one variance request and that my predecessor
requested a variance to use CPVC in this project. He was denied. I would
request a variance to use Flowguard Gold CPVC in this project. This is a
different variance request. Also by using Flowguard Gold CPVC College Station
will enjoy the following securities; first the project will be warranted by
BFGoodrich for four years, second a certified contractor who has completed a 3
day installation course on CPVC will install the product. I believe these points
are crucial and certainly warrant consideration from the board.
Please let me know if this is a feasible alternative.
Thank you again for all your support. (1 S, a O

FORMAT FOR POSITIVE MOTION FOR VARIANCE
I move to authorize a variance from the terms of this ordinance for the following
•
reasons: It would not be contrary to the public interest; a literal enforcement of the
ordinance would result in unnecessary hardship and manifest injustice to this applicant.
Further, granting this variance would observe and accomplish substantial justice.
