ORDINANCE NO, 916
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF REZONING
A CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE AND MORE PAR-
TICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM APARTMENT
BUILDING DISTRICT, DISTRICT R-3 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, DISTRICT
C-1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station has been
presented a petition by the owner of the herein described tract of
land' -to rezone the same from Apartment Building District, District
R-3 to General Commercial District, District C-1.
THEREFORE, it is hereby ordered that the Planning and Zoning Commission
of the City of College Station shall consider the above request according
to the provisions of Section 13-A of Ordinance No. 850 and shall make
recommendation to the City Council prior to the 24th day of June, 1974;
and
It is hereby ordered that a public hearing be held at the City Hall
in College Station, Texas at 7:00 P.M. on June 24, 1974 on the question
of rezoning all of that certain tract of land in the City of College
Station described as follows:
A 0.:595 acre tract or parcel of land, and being a portion of Lot 1, Block
12, Southwood Addition, Section 26, a subdivision in the City of
College Station, Texas according to the plat thereof duly recorded in
Volume 310, page 687 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, said
0.:595 acre tract also being a portion of that tract conveyed to Harry
Seaback by William Fitch and being more particularly described by
metes and bounds as follows:
COMMENCING at the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 12, of the afore-
mentioned Southwood Addition, Section 26, said corner also being the
southwest corner of Lot 2, Block 12 of said Addition and also lying
in the northeast right-of-way line of Farm to Market Road 2818;
THENCE S 46022147" W along the Northeast right-of-way line of said
Farm to Market Road 2818 for a distance of 511.00 feet to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING;
THENCE N 43037113" W for a distance of 140.00 feet to a point for
corner;
THENCE S 46022147" W for a distance of 18_,00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 43037113" E for a distance of 140.00 feet to a point for corner,
said corner also lying in the northeast right-of-way line of Farm to
Market Road 2818;
THENCE N 46022147" E along the said northeast right-of-way line of
Farm to Market Road 2818 for a distance of 1;$-5.00 feet to the PLACE
OF BEGINNING and containing 0.595 acres of land more or less from
Apartment Building District, District R-3 to General Commercial
District, District C-1.
