ORDINANCE NO. 158
AN ORDINANCE ORDERING THE FILING OF A PETITION FRONT J. C. CULPEPYEtt AND
A. P. BOYETT FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN VACANT TERRITORY ADJACENT TO
AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY AND ORDERING A HEARING ON SAID PETITION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station,
Texas:
That whereas a petition has been presented by J. C. Culpepper and
A. P. Boyett the sole owners of a,tract of land, vacant and occupied,
contiguous and adjacent to the City of College Station, for the annexation
of a certain tract of land not exceeding one-half () mile in width,
said tract of land being described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at the most Easterly corner of Block 8, Highland
Park Addition to the City of Bryan, Texas
Thence North 45° East along Bryan present city limits, a
distance of 1350 feet more or less to a point in the East
right-of-way line of Texas State Highway #3O8.
Thence South 45° East along the East right-of-way line of State
Highway #3O8 which also is the West property line of the A. & M.
College nursery plot, a distance of 600 feet to the present
College Station city limits.
Thence South 45° West a distance of 140 feet more or less to the
West right-of-way line of Texas State Highway #308.
Thence South 45° East along the West right-of-way line of
State Highway #3O8, a distance of 850 feet more or less.
Thence in a Southwesterly direction along the present city
limits line, a distance of 1170 feet more or less to the
West right-of-way line of Nagle Street.
Thence North 45° West along the West right-of-way line of
Nagle Street, a distance of 950 feet more or less to the
most easterly corner of Lot A of the Tauber Addition to the
City of College Station, Texas
Thence North 42° 06" West along the Northeast side of Lot A
a distance of 404.5 feet to the point of beginning.
Now, therefore,
1. It is hereby ordered that said petition be filed in the records
of the City Secretary, and
2. It is hereby ordered that a hearing be given J. C. Culpepper
and A. P. Boyett and any other interested and affected
parties on said petition in the Council Room of the City
