ORDINANCE NO. 476
AN ORDINANCE VACATING CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS IN THE SOUTH KNOLL ADDITION IN
THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS AND DECLARING IT AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, part of the South Knoll Addition to the City of College Station
as platted of record in Volume 184, Page 1 of the Deed Records of Brazos
County, Texas has been re -subdivided and re -platted as Ridgefield, Sections One
and Two, and said re -subdivision has been approved by the Planning Commission
and City Council, and
WHEREAS, before said re -platting of this part of the South Knoll, the
streets and alleys in said part of the South Knoll had not been improved nor
put into use by the public, and
WHEREAS, the said re -platting
to serve all of the lots in the said
All of Blocks
Block 17;
NOW THEREFORE
STATION:
19, 20, 22, 24
BE IT ORDAINED
has provided adequate streets and easements
part of the South Knoll, to wit:
and Lots 13 through 21 inclusive of
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
That the City of College Station hereby does abandon and quitclaim for
itself and on behalf of the public, and allow to revert to the present abutting
owners, all of the streets, alleys, and easements in that part of the said
South Knoll Addition which has been re -subdivided and platted as Ridgefield,
Sections One and Two, being approved subdivisions of the City of College
Station, and consisting of all of Blocks 19, 20, 22 and 24, and Lots 13 through
21 inclusive in Block 17, specifically including in this ordinance of abandon-
ment that part of Ran Boswell Street lying between Lot 4, Block 22 and Lot 22,
Block 17 and further including in this ordinance of abandonment the originally
platted E. Morgan Smith Street which was replaced by other street dedications
in an earlier re -plat of part of said South Knoll Addition as recorded in
Volume 247, Page 482 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas.
Passed and approved this 25th day of July, 1966.
