ORDINANCE NO. 387
ORDER OF ELECTION
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, ORDERING A GENERAL MUNIC-
IPAL ELECTION IN THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION ON TUESDAY, APRIL 7, 1964, FOR
THE ELECTION OF A MAYOR AND THREE COUNCILMEN; FIXING THE TIME, PLACE AND
MANNER OF HOLDING THE ELECTION AND APPOINTING JUDGES AND CLERKS THEREOF.
RE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas:
A general election shall be and the same is hereby ordered to be held on
the first Tuesday in April, 1964, the same being April 7, for the purpose of
electing a Mayor and three Councilmen, namely, one from each Ward of the City
of College Station, Texas.
The election will be held at the following places, and the election
officials shall be, for the purpose of this election as follows:
In Ward No. 1, at A & M Consolidated School Music Room, in said City,
with L. G. Jones as Presiding Judge, and said Presiding Judge shall appoint
the necessary clerks to assist him.
In Ward No. 2, College Hills Elementary School, in said City, with
F. L. Thomas as Presiding Judge, and said Presiding Judge shall appoint the
necessary clerks to assist him.
In Ward No. 3, at City of College Station, City Hall, in said City,
with F. H. Mathews as Presiding Judge, and said Presiding Judge shall appoint
the necessary clerks to assist him.
The polls shall be opened promptly at g o'clock A.M. and shall be
closed promptly at 7 o'clock P.M.
The election will be held under the provisions of the laws of the State
of Texas governing general elections, and only duly qualified voters who are
residents of the City of College Station shall be allowed to vote.
Copies of this ordinance, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City
Secretary shall, when posted at three public places in the City of College
Station, serve as proper notice of said election.
