AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE A 1. 821 -ACRE TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND LYING AND
BEING SITUATED IN THE C. BURNETT LEAGUE, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND
BEING A PART OF THE 6. 578 -ACRE TRACT (TRACT NO. 2) DESCRIBED IN VOLUME 161,
PAGE 578 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT THE INTERSECTION OF
THE NORTHERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF COUNTY ROAD WITH THE SOUTHWESTERLY
RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF STATE HIGHWAY NO. 6; THENCE S 68° 02' W ALONG THE
BEFOREMENTIONED NORTHERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF COUNTY ROAD FOR A
DISTANCE OF 612.79 FEET TO A POINT FOR CORNER; THENCE N 20° 38' W ALONG
THE SOUTHWESTERLY LINE OF A 15 -FOOT WIDE EASEMENT FOR A DISTANCE OF
141. 83 FEET TO A POINT FOR CORNER MARKING THE SOUTH CORNER OF THE CITY
OF COLLEGE STATION ELEVATED WATER STORAGE TRACT; THENCE N 68° 36' E
ALONG A SOUTHERLY LINE OF THE BEFOREMENTIONED CITY OF COLLEGE STATION
TRACT FOR A DISTANCE OF 546. 91 FEET TO A POINT FOR CORNER IN THE BEFORE -
MENTIONED SOUTHWESTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF STATE HIGHWAY NO. 6,
SAID MONUMENT BEING THE MOST EASTERLY CORNER OF THE BEFOREMENTIONED
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION TRACT; THENCE S 46° 39' E ALONG THE BEFOREMENTIONED
SOUTHWESTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE FOR A DISTANCE OF 150.01 FEET TO THE PLACE
OF BEGINNING CONTAINING 1. 821 ACRES OF LAND MORE OR LESS, FROM DISTRICT
NO. 1, FIRST DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT TO DISTRICT NO. 4, FIRST BUSINESS
DISTRICT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas:
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing in the City Hall at
7:00 P.M. , February 24, 1969 on the question of rezoning areas within the city limits;
AND WHEREAS, the City Council has heard all parties pertaining thereto
and having the recommendation of the City Planning and Zoning Commission, has
determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of a 1.821 -acre tract or parcel of land
lying and being situated in the C. Burnett League, Brazos County, Texas, and being
a part of the 6. 578 -acre tract (Tract No. 2) described in Volume 161, Page 578 of the
Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the northerly right-of-way line of County Road
with the southwesterly right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6;
Thence S 68° 02' W along the beforementioned northerly right-of-way line of
County Road for a distance of 612.79 feet to a point for corner;
Thence N 20° 38' W along the southwesterly line of a 15 -foot wide easement
for a distance of 141.83 feet to a point for corner marking the south corner of the City
of College Station elevated water storage tract;

Thence N 68° 36' E along a southerly line of the beforementioned City of
College Station tract for a distance of 546. 91 feet to a point for corner in the before -
mentioned southwesterly right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6, said monument being
the most easterly corner of the beforementioned City of College Station tract;
Thence S 46° 39' E along the beforementioned southwesterly right -of --way line
for a distance of 150. 01 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING containing 1. 821 acres of
land, more or less, from District No. 1, First Dwelling House District to District
No. 4, First Business District, and it is so ordained that said change be effective
immediately.
