City of College Station
Swimming Pool Manager Position
I. Job Description
The swimming pool manager will be employed by the
City of College Station Recreation & Parks Department
and will be directly responsible to the Director of
Parks & Recreation. The pool manager will be responsible
for the overall supervision.and operations of the College
Station swimming pool facilities. (One 50 meter pool,
one instructional pool, bathouse and grounds).
Job begins April 1, 1974 and ends September, 1974. ,

II. Qualifications
A. Must be at least 21 years of age
B. Must possess a current Water Bafety Instructors Certificate.
C. Must have training in advanced first aid.
D. Must have at least two years experience in pool management.
III. Duties
A. Pre -public opening
1. Develope an operational manual
2. Plan the schedules, operation, procedures, equipment,
and supply needs.
3. Plan staff requirement, and interview applicants.
4. Order equipment and supplies through the Parks and
Recreation Director.
B. Post -public opening
1. Schedule all activities and events
2. Be responsible for the safe and healthful operation
of the pools
3. Be responsible for the overall operation
a. Water quality control
b. Mechanical operations
C. Lifeguards
d. Accident reports
e. Revenues
f. Schedules, etc.
