BASEBALL SUMMARY
The C. H. S. Tigers' baseball team tied for third place in district, with a 3-5 record, and having :
mark for the entire season.
Coach Edsel Jones' crew split their two -game series with three of their four league opponents, witah;ee:
of their wins being a 14-15 lacing of the loop champion, Brenham.
In non -district play, the Tigers broke even against Hearne, Madisonville, and Huntsville. They ;Cs.
single games to Waco and Allen Academy.
Freshman fire -bailer, Edgar Feldman, was selected Most Valuable Player, and Jack McNeely was
team's captain. Making all -district, were Feldman and Mike McGuire, the Tigers' leading hitter. Bob
Witcher and Steadman Davis made the honorable mention list in District 20-A.
