HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-0500 - Ordinance - 01/23/1967BOORUM & PEASE " BOORUM & PEASE ORDINANCE NO.500 AN ORDINANCE DEDICATING SOUTH WALTON DRIVE TO THE PUBLIC USE, FOR A PUBLIC STREET AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, has determined that South Walton Drive is presently being used as a street and a part of the street has not been officially dedicated, creates needless confusion, and that such situation should be remedied. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, that the following described land is hereby dedicated to the public use, for a public street. Beginning at a point on the centerline of State Highway 6, said point being Station 632+80. Said point also being 93.5 feet S 44° W of the common corner of Lots 1 & 2, Block 3, College Hills, Estates Addition to the City of College Station. Thence 68.5 feet N 440 E to a point. Thence 100.0 feet N 460 W to a tangent point. Thence with a curve to the right (Delta = 41°, R = 230. 2') to a tangent point. Thence 101.5 feet N 5° W to a tangent point. Thence with a curve to the right (Delta = 23°30', R = 500') to the end of the centerline description. THE PRESENT CONFUSION of the facts constitute and create an emergency and an urgent public necessity requiring that the rules and provisions providing for ordinances to be read more than one time or at more than one meeting be suspended, and requiring that this ordinance be passed as and take effect as an emergency measure, and such rules and provisions are accordingly suspended and this ordinance is passed as and shall take effect as an emergency measure and shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
