HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-0683 - Ordinance - 05/25/1970ORDINANCE NO. 683 AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE A 2.987 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE MORGAN RECTOR LEAGUE, LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST SIDE OF KRENEK LANE (FORMERLY STASNEY LANE), FROM DISTRICT NO. 1, FIRST DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT TO DISTRICT NO. 3-A, MOBILE HOME PARK DISTRICT, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 p.m. on May 25, 1970 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of a 2. 987 acre tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Morgan Rector League, Brazos County, Texas, and being part of the tract of land conveyed to Glynn A. Williams, L. E. Winder, Jr. , and C. W. King by deed recorded in Volume 254, Page 432 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at an iron rod in the northwest line of Stasney Lane located S 450 00' W 1563.07 feet from the iron rod marking the east corner of the above mentioned Williams, Winder and King tract; Thence N 450 00, W for a distance of 750. 61 feet to an iron rod in the northwest fence line of said Williams, Winder and King tract; Thence S 440 47' 57" W along a fence line for a distance of 173. 39 feet to an iron rod for. corner; Thence S 450 00' E for a distance of 750. 00 feet to an iron rod for corner in the northwest line of Stasney Lane; Thence N 450 00' E, along the northwest line of Stasney Lane for a distance of 173. 39 feet to the Place of Beginning, and containing 2. 987 acres of land, more or less, from District No. 1, first dwelling house district, to District No. 3-A, Mobile Home Park District, and it is so ordained that said change be effective immediately. APPROVED: Q�ka'`� ' Mayor ATTEST: City Secretary Rezoning conditioned upon: (a) If the petition for curb and gutter paving is not successful, Krenek Tap Road would be surfaced by the city by the Open Ditch Policy and Mr. Swoboda would pay the total property owners share of the construction costs and as the assessments are levied against the property owners, and collected, Mr. Swoboda would be reimbursed; the length of the paving would be determined by the City Engineer. 17
