HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-0651 - Ordinance - 10/27/1969ORDINANCE NO, 651 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY INTO AND INCORPORATING THE SAME AS A PART OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 p. m. on October 27, 1969 on the question of receiving certain territory into the city limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has heard all parties pertaining thereto, has determined the following: Upon compliance with Article II, Section 7, of the City Charter and applicable laws of the State of Texas, the following territory shall be incorporated within the city limits; Beginning at a point in the Northeast right-of-way of State Highway No. 6, said point also being the present city limit as adopted by Ordinance No. 625, and further described as a point 200 feet southeast of the most southerly right of way line of Millers Lane. Thence in a northeasterly direction along the present city limit line a distance of 2, 000 feet to a point. Thence, in a southeasterly direction parallel to and 2, 000 feet from the most northeasterly right of way line of State Highway No. 6 to a point in the most northerly right of way line of the East By-pass. Thence, along the northerly right of way line of the East By -Pass to the intersection of the northerly right of way line of the East By-pass and the northeast right of way line of State Highway No. 6. Thence in a northwesterly direction along the northeast right of way line of State Highway No. 6 to the point of beginning; Said tract of land containing approximately 145 acres. APPROVED: /digaG Mayor ATTEST: City Secretary 726 . las ORDINANCE NO. 652 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AN EASEMENT GRANTED BY VICTOR DOMINIK IN THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, DATED SEPTEMBER 2, 1941, RECORDED IN VOLUME 107, P P 441, DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED THEREIN. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas that: WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council of the City of College Station that there is an easement for utilities reserved from Victor Dominik to the City of College Station. WHEREAS, said easement is not needed and will not be needed in the future, It is therefore ordered and ordained that such easement be vacated and that the Mayor and City Secretary be authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of College Station, to Victor Dominik, owner of said property as described in Volume 107, pp 441, Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas of September 2, 1941, any release of claim which the City of College Station has in and to said easement.
