Special City Council Meeting
April 19, 1979

MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Bravenec, Councilmen Ringer, Boughton, Dozier, Halter,
Jones, City Engineer Ash, City Planner Mayo, Building Official
Koehler, Assistant City Planner Longley, Fire Marshall Davis

MEMBERS ABSENT: Councilman Adams

Agenda Item No. 1--Consideration of proposed amendments to Ordinance 850.
Mayor Bravenec discusped recent changes made in the proposed ordinance.
Councilman Ringer moved approval of Ordinance No. 1153, with the word change
in 7-D.9 from "Property owner" to "person".
Councilman Jones seconded the motion, which passed by the following vote:
For: Mayor Bravenec, Councilmen Ringer, Boughton, Jones
Against' none
Absent' Councilmen Dozier, Halter
Agenda Item No.2--Discussion of changes in fire zone boundaries.
Building Official Koehler explained the request and said that he and the Fire
Marshall concurred with the request. The two men an~.wered questions of the
Council.
Councilman Ringer moved to adopt Ordinance No. 1154.
Councilman Boughton seconded the motion, which passed uanimously.
Agenda Item No~. ~_3--Consideration of bids on striping machine.
City Engineer Ash recommended the low bid from Southwestern Materials for
$7998.40.
Councilman Halter moved that the recommendation be accepted.
Councilman Jones seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
_Ag~enda Item No.4--C]oosed session to consider land acquisition and per.sonnel.
The Council moved into closed session and later reopened to the public
for further discussion of the items.

Councilman Dozier moved to verify that Dr. T.O. Walton Jr. had been appointed
in 1978 for a two year term as City Health Official.
Councilman Halter seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
