AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2,
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS
SECTION 1D OF THE CODE OF
STATION, TEXAS, RELATING TO
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS, that Chapter 2, Section iD of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of College Station, Texas, is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"SECTION iD: PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS
An offense under this ordinance shall be a Class C misdemeanor
and shall be punishable by a fine of not less than twenty-five
($25.00) dollars nor more than one thousand ($1,000.00) dollars.
However, if this penalty provision is invalid as beyond the scope
of the City's authority to enact a penalty of greater than two
hundred ($200.00) dollars, this ordinance shall be valid in all
other respects, and the maximum fine shall be two hundred
($200.00) dollars."
II.
This section shall be and become effective from and after its
passage in accordance with the City Charter of the City of
College Statlon.
