HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-1439 - Ordinance - 08/11/1983ORDINANCE NO. lq39 AN ORDINANCE REZONING TWO TRACTS OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE MORGAN RECTOR LEAGUE BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, SAID TRACTS BEING DESCRIBED IN WARRANTY DEED RECORDS OF BRAZO5 COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY OESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS OROINANCE FROM GENERAL COMMERCIAL OISTRICT C-1 AND SINGLE FAMILY RESIOENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 TO GENERAL COHMERCIAL OISTRICT C-I AND ADMINISTRATIVE-PROFESSIONAL OISTRICT A-P. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 11, 1983, on the question of rezoning certain areas within the City Limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of the following two (2) tracts of land all lying and being situated in the Morgan Rector League in Brazos County, Texas, said tracts being described in Warranty Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being more particularly described as follows: TRACT NO. i Being part of a 6.80 acre tract and all of a 2.53 acre tract of land in the Morgan Rector League in Brazos County, Texas, said tracts being described in Warranty Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas in Vol. 503, Page 252 and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the most westerly corner of said 6.80 acre tract at a point in the northeast Right-of-Way line of Texas Avenue, THENCE N 53°30'18"E - 778.67 feet to a point for a corner; THENCE S 4q°25~h1"E - 303.h9 feet to a point for a corner; THENCE S h4°12'28'~ - 768 feet to a point for a corner; THENCE N 44°$3~12'~W - 429.26 feet along the northeast Right-of-Way of Texas Avenue to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, containing 7.53 acres more or less from General Commerclal District C-1 and Single Family Residential District R-I Lo General Commercial District C-I. TRACT NO, 2 Being part of a 6.80 acre tract of land in the Morgan Rector League in Brazos County, Texas said tract being described in Warranty Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas in Vol. 503 page 252 and being more particularly described as follows: COMMENCING at the most westerly corner of said 6.80 acre tract at a point in the northeast Right-of-Way line of Texas Avenue, THENCE N 53°30'18"E - 778.67 feet along the north property line of the 6,80 acre tract to the POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE N 53°30~18"E - 367.01 feet to a point for a corner; THENCE N 65°17'54"E - 393.67 feet to a point for a corner; Ordinance No. 1/~39 page 2 THENCE S q4°26'49"E - I02.q7 feel to a point for a corner; THENCE S q4°12~28'~ - 734.31 feet to a point for a corner; THENCE N 44°25'41"~ - 303.49 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 3.76 acres more or less, from General Commercial District C-1 and Single Family Residential District R-1 to Adminlstratlve-Professional District A-P. And, it is ordained that said changes shall become effective immediately. PASSED AND APPROVED this 11th day of August, 1983.
