HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-1553 - Ordinance - 09/27/1984ORDINANCE NO. 1553 AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 1.O61 ACRE TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND, LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE MORGAN RECTOR SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 46, COLLEGE STATIONs BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING A PART OF LOT 2R AND A PART OF LOT 15R, BLOCK 'B" OF THE RESUBOIVISION FINAL PLAT OF BLOCK 'BE, EASTMARK SUBDIVISION, PHASE II, ADDITION TO THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, SAIO FINAL PLAT BEING RECORDED IN VOLUHE 705, PAGE 613, OF THE DEED RECOROS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, SAID TRACT BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBEO BY METES AND BOUNOS IN THE BODY OF THIS OROINANCE FROM GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C-I TO COMMERCIAL-INOUSTRIAL DISTRICT C-2. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 27 , 1984 on the question of rezonlng certain areas within the city limits: AND, NHEREAS, the City Council has determined the followlng: To rezone or change the classification of the following tract of land lylng and being sit- uated In the Morgan Rector Survey, Abstract No. 46, College Station, Brazos County, Texas, and being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: A 1.061 acre tract or parcel of land, lying and being situated in the Morgan Rector Survey, Abstract No. 46, College Station, Brazos County, Texas, and being a part of Lot 2R and a part of Lot ISR, Block "B' of the Resubdivlsion Final Plat of Block "B', EastMark Subdivi- sion, Phase II, addition to the City of College Station, Texas, said final plat being re- corded in Volume 705, Page 613 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, said 1.061 acre tract being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at an iron rod found marling the common corner of Lot 2R and Lot 3R, Block 'B', EastMark Subdivision, Phase II, and being located in the southwest right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6, East By-Pass: THENCE S 55°27~50'' W along the common line between Lot 2R and Lot 3R. at a distance of 462.30 feet, pass the south corner of Lot 2R, same being an east corner of Lot 15R, con- tinue along the common line between Lot 15R and Lot 3R for a total distance of 556.83 feet and angle point; THENCE S 42°O3~53" W continuing along the common llne between Lot 15R and Lot 3R for a distance of 203.63 feet to an iron rod found marking the west corner of Lot 3R and an in- terior ell corner of Lot 15R; THENCE across Lot 15R as follows: N h7~56'07" W 60.00 feet to an iron rod set and corner, N 42v03'53'' E 210.68 feet to an iron rod set and angle point, N 55°27'50' E, at a distance of 101.58 feet, pass the common line between Lot 2R and Lot 15R, continue on across Lot 2R for a total distance of 567.9~ feet to an iron rod set in the northeast line of Lot 2R, same being the southwest right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6, East By-Pass; Ordinance No. 1553 Page 2 THENCE S 30°~0~05" E along the northeast line of Lot 2R and the southwest right-of- way line of State Highway No. 6, East By-Pass, for a distance of 60.13 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, containing 1.061 acres of land, more or less, from General Commerclal Dis- trict C-I to Commerclal Industrial District C-2. And, it is ordained that said changes shall become effective immediately. PASSED AND APPROVED this 27th day of September , 198~.
