AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF A RIGHT-OF-WAY IN THE CRAWFORD
BURNETT LEAGUE, COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING A PART OF HAINES
STREET A FIFTY FOOT WIDE RIGHT-OF-WAY AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED ON
ATTACHED EXHIBIT "A", FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION OF A TWENTY FOOT WIDE ACCESS
EASEMENT EXECUTED AS DESCRIBED ON ATTACHED EXHIBIT "B".
WHEREAS, Mr. Wayne R. Jordan filed an application and request with the City
Council of the City of College Station that a fifty foot (50') public right-
of-way lying between lot 10, block 6 and lot l, block 8 of The Glade: Third
Installment a subdivision in the City of College Station be vacated,and the
City Council having heard the request of Mr. Jordan.
WHEREAS, for and in consideration of the vacating thereof, the City Council
requested that a twenty foot (20') access easement centered on the center lines
of said portion of Haines Street, said easement can be fenced provided that gates
allowing access through the entire easement be installed.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS
Pursuant to an application and request filed with the City of College Station,
Texas that a portion of the right-of-way of Haines Street described in attachbd
Exhibit "A" be abandoned and vacated upon execution of an access easement
described herein. The Mayor is hereby authorized to hold the ordinance and
execute it upon acceptance by the City Attorney of an access easement as
described herein.

EXHIBIT "A"
Field Notes of a D.19 acre tract of land lying and being situated in the
Crawford Burnett League, College Station, Texas and being a portion of Haines
Street, a 50 foot wide right-of-way more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the North corner of Lot 1, Block 8 of The Glade: Third
Installment recorded in Vol. 217 Pg. 481 of the Deed Records of Brazos County,
Texas.
Thence N 64o 28'W - 50 feet to the east of Lot 10, Block 6 of the same
subdivision.
Thence 140 feet along the east boundary of Lot 10, Block 6 to a radius point.
Thence around a curve to the right having a radius of 25 feet and a chord
length of 35.36 feet to a point in the South boundary of Lot 10, Block 6 said
point also being in the north right-of-way of Glade Street.
Thence S 640 28'E - 100 feet across Haines Street along Glade Street to a point
on the south boundary of Lot 1, Block 8.
Thence around a 25 foot radius on the west corner of Lot 1, Block 8 to a point
in the west side of Lot 1, Block 8.
Thence 140 feet along the West boundary of Lot 1, Block 8 to the Place of
Beginning, containing 0.19 acres more or less.
EXHIBIT "B"
All that 0.095 acres strip of land lying and being situated in the Crawford
Burnett League, College Station, Texas and being a 20 foot wide access
easement dedicated to the City of College Station, said tract being more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing of the north corner of Lot 1, Block 8 of The Glade: Third
Installment, a subdivision in College Station, Texas recorded in Volume
211 Page 481 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas.
Thence N 64o 28'W - 15 feet to the Place of Beginning.
Thence N 64o 28'W - 20 feet to a point.
Thence S 35o 32' W - 165 feet to a point in the north riqht-of-way of Glade
Street.
Thence S 640 28'W - 20 feet along Glade Street to a point.
Thence N 35o 32'E - 165 feet to the Place of Beginning containing 0.095 acres
more or less.
