AN ORDINANCE REZONING TWO TRACTS OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE ROBERT STEVEN-
SON LEAGUE, COLLEGE STATION, BRAZO COUNTY, TEXAS, ANO BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED BY
METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BOOY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM AGRICULTURE-OPEN DISTRICT A-O TO
GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C-1 AND PLANNEO INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT M-1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thurs-
day, May 2qth , 198~, on the question of rezoning certain areas within the City Limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classiflcatlon of the following two (2) tracts of land, both
lying and being situated In the Robert Stevenson League, College Station, Brazos County,
Texas, and being more particularly described as follows:
TRACT NO. I
Being all of that certain tract or parcel of land, lying and being situated in the Robert
Stevenson League, College Station, Brazos County, Texas, and being a part of that IO.O0
acre tract of land conveyed to Carl W. Matthews, et-ux, by M. W. Oowling, et-ux, by deed
recorded in Volume 531, Page 38q of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and being
more particularly described as follows;
BEGINNING: at an iron rod at the north corner of said 10.00 acre tract, same
being in the southwest right-of-way of State Hwy. 6;
THENCE: S q6° 03' q3" E - 160.OI feet and S 450 51~12'' E - 249. 46 feet along
said State Hwy. 6 line to an iron rod for corner;
THENCE: S 450 O1 '55" W - 570.OO feet to a point for corner;
THENCE: N 69° 31' 17" W - 449.80 feet Lo a point for corner;
THENCE: N 45o 00' 36" E - 750.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing
6.20 acres of land, more or less, according to a survey made under the supervision of
Donald O. Garrett, Registered Public Surveyor, from Agriculture-Open District A-O to
General Commercial District C-I.
TRACT NO. 2
Being all of that certain tract or parcel of land, lying and being situated in the
Robert Stevenson League, College Station, Brazos County, Texas and being all of that
10.O0 acre tract of land conveyed to Carl W. Mathews, et-ux, by Willard I. Do~ling,
et-ux by deed recorded in Volume 531, Page 381 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas,
and being a part of that 10.OO acre tract of land conveyed to Carl W. Mathews, et-ux,
by M. W. Dowling, et-ux, by deed recorded in Volume 531, Page 384 of the Oeed Records
of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING: at an iron pipe at the south corner of the first 10.OO acre tract
mentioned above:

THENCE: N 4q° 55~ 13" ~ - 408.61 feet to an iron pipe for corner;
THENCE: N 45° 00' 36" E - 1364.06 feet [o a point for corner;
THENCE: S 69° 31' 17" E - 449.80 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE: 5 h5° O1' $5" ~ - 1551.31 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING; and containing
13.69 acres of land, more or less, according to a survey made under the supervision of
Donald O. Garrett, Registered Public Surveyor, from Agriculture-Open District A-O to
Planned Industrial District H-l.
And, it is ordained that said changes shall become effective immediately.
