HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-1724 - Ordinance - 09/10/1987ORDINANCE NO. 1724 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4, SECTION 7 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, BY DELETING SUB-SECTION 7.H RELATING TO AN AMHULANCE ADVISORY COMMITTEE. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1200 was passed and approved on December 13, 1979, by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, and authorized the creation of an Ambulance Advisory Committee; aD~, WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1200 charged said Ambulance Advisory Com- mittee with responsibility for submitting to the council its recommendations as to new specifications for emergency ambulances and its recommendations as to revisions of the Ambulance Code; and, WHEREAS, the Ambulance Advisory Committee operated in an able and effective manner and provided valuable information and assistance to the College Station City Council during a critical time when programs for the city's ambulance services were being developed; and, WHEREAS, with the availability of advanced procedures and equip- ment now implemented by local hospitals, as well as cap- abilities obtained through the city's paramedic program, and the passage of State Law which establishes and specifies criteria for the services provided, the need no longer exists for the function of an Ambulance Ad- visory Committee. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, THAT Chapter 4, Section 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College Station is hereby amended by deleting Sub-Section 7.H, "Ambulance Advisory Committee." II. THAT all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only. 005112 III. This ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage and in accordance with the City Charter of the City of College Station, Texas.
