I~%TFI~ ~ SEWER SERVICF~; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAI[~D BY TH'E CI~f G0~ICIL OF THE CITY OF CO55RGE STAT!f~]:
That Chapter 1], Section 2.A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
College Station is hereby amended to read as follows:
The monthly rates to be charged consumers for public utility
services, namely water and/or sewerage connections, shall be 1D
accordance with the schedules as follows:
(1) Rates for Water Servic~
(a)
For domestic consumers, whether single-family or multi-
family, using water within the corporate limits of the
City.
Service Charge:
$5.00 per month
Usage Charge:
$].50 per 1,000 gallons
(b) For commercial and/or industrial consumers using water
within the corporate limits of the City.
Service Charge:
$6.50 per month
Usage Charge:
$1.50 per 1,000 gallons
(c)
Subject to available capacity under present City of
College Station load requiren~ents, present system
capabihty, anticipated load requirements and anticipated
system capability, the City of College Station will enter
into contracts for the sale of water outside the City upon
final af~rova] of the City Council.

(d)
Ali Customers receiving water service under contract in
which water rates are set by ordinance or unaddressed by
contract shall pay 3.5 times the domestic consumer cost of
w~ter as set by the City Council for each fiscal year.
(e)
In the event the City of College Statio~ is unable to meet
the water service demands of its residents and custon,e~s
outside the City of College Station residents sba31
receive preference in service unless otherwise lequired by
contract.
(2) Rates for Sewerage Service
(a)
For consumers using sewerage service for household
purposes, single or multi-famlly, within the corporate
limits of the City:
U~nthly cha~3e per household unit: $11.00
(b)
For consumers using sewerage service fo[ commercial and/or
industrial business establishments within the corporate
limits of the City:
Service Charge:
$3.50 per month
Usage C~,arge:
$0.96 per 1,000 gallons
of water usage
(c) For consumers using sewerage service outside the corporate
limxts of the City:
Charges per month shall be 1.5 times the amounts set fo,'th
in (a) and (b) above."
II.
That Chapter 11, Section 2.E of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of College Station, Texas, is hereby a~,]ended to read as follows:
"E. EFFECTIVE DATES OF RATES
These rates shall be effective on all invoices submitted by the
City of College Station to users on or after July 1, 1987."

Should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this
ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid fo~ any purpose, the
~emainder of this ordinance shall not be affected thezeby.
That ali ordinances or parts of oidinances, in conflict herewith are
superseded to th.e extent of the conflict only.

~nd, it is ordained that this Ordinance shall become effective from and
after it's passage in accordance with the City Charter of the City of
College Station.
