AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, SECTION 3 E. OF THE COLLEGE
STATION CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO SPEED ZONES AND
SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATING ADDITIONAL AREA IN THE CITY OF
COLLEGE STATION IN WHICH RATES OF SPEED OF GREATER OR LESS
THAN THIRTY (30) MILES PER HOUR ARE AUTHORIZED; RESCINDIN~
ALL PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING
THAT ATTENDANT FACTS NECESSITATE IMMEDIATE ACTION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION:
That any and all ordinances or parts of ordinances relating
to speed zones on Holleman Drive and Dartmouth in the City of
College Station are hereby amended, and that Chapter 10,
Section 3.E, Code of Ordinances, City of College Station,
Texas, is hereby amended by adding two subsections, to be
numbered Subsection (2)(1.) and Subsection (2) (m.), which
said Subsections shall read as follows:
"(1.)
(m.)
Holleman Drive, for traffic moving east and west
shall be thirty (30) miles per hour from the
intersection of Holleman Drive and FM 2818 to the
intersection of Holleman Drive and Texas Avenue.
Holleman Drive, for traffic moving east and west
shall be forty (40) miles per hour from the
intersection of Holleman Drive and Texas Avenue to
the intersection of Holleman Drive and the west
frontage road of SH 6.
Dartmouth Street, for traffic moving north and
south shall be forty (40) miles an hour from the
intersection of Dartmouth Street and Harvey Road
(SH 30) to the intersection of Dartmouth Street
and Southwest Parkway."
II.
WHEREAS, the preservation of the general welfare of the
public necessitates immediate action, this Ordinance shall
be effective from and after the date of its passage as provided
by the Charter of the City of College Station.
