TO TIME MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE CITY ATTORNEY OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION

NO'T'ICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special meeting of the City Council of the City
of College Station will be held on the 22nd day of August, 19/.9 at the City Hall in
said city at $:00 p. m. for the purpose of passing on matters as follows:
1. Purchase of materials for utility lines into College Hills.
2. Purchase of additional power for College Hills,
3. Need of a utility survey.
4. Ordinance No. 137, amending Ordinance No. 50.

CONSENT TO MEETING
We, the undersigned members of City Council and the City Attorney of the City
of College Station, hereby accept service of the foregoing notice, waiving any and
all irregularities in such notice and consent and agree that said City Council shall
named and for the purpose therein stated.

MINUTES OF SPECIAL �1,;ETING
August 22, 1949
Members present: Mayor Ernest Langford; Councilmen Ames, Fitch, Halpin, Orr
and Badgett; and City Manager Rogers.
City Manager Rogers was requested to get bids on electric poles and other needed
materials for electric lines to College Hills.
Mayor Langford was authorized to contact Chancellor Gilchrist at once on the
possibility of the College furnishing to the City of College Station additional
power for College Hills.
After a discussion of the need of a utility survey it was moved by Badgett,
seconded by Fitch that the council employ Homer Hunter to make the survey as
outlined in the agreement furnished by Mr. Hunter. The vote was unanimous.
A motion was made by Halpin and seconded by Orr that Ordinance 137 be adopted.
