AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, SECTION 3,
SUB-SECTION E OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, RELATING
TO SPEED ZONES AND SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATING
ADDITIONAL AREAS IN THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION IN WHICH RATES OF SPEED OF THIRTY
(30) MILES PER HOUR OR MORE ARE AUTHORIZED;
RESCINDING ALL PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING THAT
ATTENDANT FACTS NECESSITATE IMMEDIATE
ACTION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION:
I.
That Chapter 10, Section 3.E {2c) of the Code of
Ordinances, City of College Station, Texas, is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"(c)
LP 507, for traffic moving in a Southerly direction
for the first 1.815 mile from the North City Limit,
the speed limits shall be forty {40) miles per hour.
For the next 1.190 mile the speed limit shall be
forty-five (45) miles per hour. For the next 0.942
mile the speed limit shall be fifty (50) miles per
hour to the Intersection of SH 6."

II.
Chapter 10, Section 3,E {2d) of the Code of
City of College Station, Texas, is hereby amended
lOWS:
For traffic moving in a Northerly direction, for the
first 0.166 mile from the Intersection of SH 6, the
speed limit shall be fifty-five (55) miles per hour.

For the next 0.795 mile the speed limit shall be fifty
(50) miles per hour. For the next 1.1g0 mile the
speed limit shall be forty-five (45) miles per hour.
For the next 1.815 mile the speed limit shall be forty
{40) miles per hour to the North City Limit."
III.
WHEREAS, the preservation of the general welfare of the
public necessitates immediate action, this Ordinance shall be
effective from and after the date of its passage as provided by
the Charter of the City of College Station.
