OF THE COLLEGE STATION CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO SPEED ZONES AND SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATING ADDITIONAL AREAS IN THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION IN WHICH RATES OF SPEED OF GREATER OR LESS THAN THIRTY (30) MILES PER HOUR ARE AUTHORIZED; RESCINDING ALL PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING THAT ATTENDANT FACTS NECESSITATE IMMEDIATE ACTION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION: I. That Chapter 10, Section 3.E(2.)(n.) of the City of College Station Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows: "(n.) The following are certain designated areas in which a specific rate of speed is hereby designated: (1.) Wellborn Road, for traffic moving north and south shall be forty-five (45) miles per hour from the intersection of Wellborn Road and Church Street to the Bryan - College Station city limit line. (2.) East Tarrow Street, for traffic moving north and south shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of East Tarrow Street and University Drive to the intersection of East Tarrow Street and Tarrow Street. (3.) Emerald Parkway, for traffic moving east and west shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Emerald Parkway and SH6 east frontage road to the termination of Emerald Parkway. (4.) Finfeather Road, for traffic moving north and south shall be forty-five (45) miles per hour from the intersection of Finfeather Road and F&B Road to the Bryan - College Station city limit line. 005364 (5.) F&B Road, for traffic moving east and west shall be forty-five (45) miles per hour from the intersection of F&B Road and FM 2818 to the intersection of F&B Road and Finfeather Road. (6.) Greens Prairie Road, for traffic moving east and west shall be fifty-five (55) miles per hour from the intersection of Greens Prairie Road and SH 6 to the intersection of Greens Prairie Road and Rock Prairie Road. (7.) Raintree Drive, for traffic moving east and west shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Raintree Drive and SH 6 east frontage road to the termination of Raintree Drive. (8.) Rock Prairie Road West, for traffic moving east and west shall be forty (40) miles per hour from the intersection of Rock Prairie Road West and SH 6 to the termination of Rock Prairie Road West. (9.) Rock Prairie Road East, for traffic moving east and west shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Rock Prairie Road East and SH 6 to a right-angle curve in the roadway. Rock Prairie Road East, within this right-angle (20) miles per hour. for traffic moving curve shall be twenty Rock Prairie Road East, for traffic moving north and south shall be forty (40) miles per hour from this right-angle curve to the intersection of Green's Prairie Road. Rock Prairie Road East, for traffic moving north and south shall be thirty (30) miles per hour from the intersection of Green's Prairie Road to the southern College Station city limit line. (10.) Southwest Parkway, for traffic moving east and west shall be forty (40) miles per hour from the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Wellborn Road to the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Welsh Avenue. Southwest Parkway, for traffic moving east and west shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Welsh Avenue to the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Texas Avenue. n05365 Southwest Parkway, for traffic moving east and west shall be forty-five (45) miles per hour from the intersection of Southwest Parkway and Texas Avenue to the intersection of Southwest Parkway and SH6 west frontage road. (11.) Tarrow Street, for traffic moving north and south shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Tarrow Street and Lincoln Street to the Bryan - College Station city limit line. (12.) Anderson Street, for traffic moving north and south shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Anderson Street and Jersey Street to the termination of Anderson Street. (13.) Dexter Drive, for traffic moving north and south shall be thirty (30) miles per hour from the intersection of Dexter Drive and Holleman Drive to the intersection of Dexter Drive and Thomas Street. Dexter Drive, for traffic moving north and south shall be twenty-five (25) miles per hour from the intersection of Dexter Drive and Thomas Street to the intersection of Dexter Drive and Jersey Street. (14.) Dominik Drive, for traffic moving east and west shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Dominik Drive and Texas Avenue to the intersection of Dominik Drive and Munson Avenue. Dominik Drive, for traffic moving east and west shall be thirty (30) miles per hour from the intersection of Dominik Drive and Munson Avenue to the termination of Dominik Drive. (15.) Krenek Tap Road, for traffic moving east and west shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Krenek Tap Road and Texas Avenue to the intersection of Krenek Tap Road and SH6 west frontage road. (16.) Kyle Avenue, for traffic moving east and west shall be thirty (30) miles per hour from the intersection of Kyle Avenue and Texas Avenue to the intersection of Kyle Avenue and Foster Street. Kyle Avenue, for traffic moving east and west shall be twenty-five (25) miles per hour from the intersection of Kyle South and Dominik 005366 Drive. Kyle South, for traffic moving north and south shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Kyle South and Dominik Drive to the intersection of Kyle South and Harvey Road. (17.) Lincoln Avenue, for traffic moving east and west shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Texas Avenue to the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and University Drive. (18.) Longmire Drive, for traffic moving north and south shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Longmire Drive and FM 2818 to the intersection of Longmire Drive and Rock Prairie Road. (19.) Marion Pugh Drive, for traffic moving north and south shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Marion Pugh Drive and Jersey Street to the termination of Marion Pugh Drive. (20.) Ponderosa Drive, for traffic moving east and west shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Ponderosa Drive and SH6 to the intersection of Ponderosa Drive and Rio Grande Blvd. (21.) Rio Grande Blvd., for traffic moving north and south shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Rio Grande Blvd. and FM 2818 to the intersection of Rio Grande Blvd. and Rock Prairie Road. (22.) Sebesta Road, for traffic moving east and west shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Sebesta Road and SH6 east frontage road to the termination of Sebesta Road. (23.) Spring Loop, for traffic moving east and west shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Spring Loop and University Drive to the intersection of Spring Loop and Tarrow Street. (24.) Welsh Avenue, for traffic moving north and south shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Welsh Avenue and Holleman Drive to the intersection of Welsh Avenue and Deacon Drive. n05367 (25.) Deacon Drive, for traffic moving east and west shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Deacon Drive and Texas Ave. to the intersection of Deacon Drive and Welsh Ave. Deacon Drive for traffic moving east and west shall be forty.(40) miles per hour from the intersection of Deacon Drive and Welsh Ave. to the intersection of Deacon Drive and Wellborn Road." II. WHEREAS, the preservation of the general welfare of the public necessitates immediate action, this Ordinance shall be effective from and after the date of its passage as provided by the Charter of the City of College Station.
