AN ORDINANCE REVOKING SECTION 14 OF CHAPTER 4 OF THE CODE OF OR-
DINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION PERTAINING TO THE PUR-
CHASE OF USED JEWELRY OR PRECIOUS METAL.
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that Article 9009a,
Texas Revised Civil Statutes, provides for the regulation of the
purchase of used jewelry and precious metals; and
WHEREAS, the City of College Station City Council has
found that the statute is the preferred enforcement tool over
Section 14 of Chapter 4 of the business regulations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION THAT:
Section 14 of Chapter 4 of the City of College Station
Code of Ordinances pertaining to the purchase of used jewelry or
precious metals is hereby revoked and repealed.
