AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AND PROVIDING FOR THE ENFORCEMENT OF A
MASTER SANITARY SEWER PLAN FOR FOXFIRE AND SURROUNDING AREAS
PREPARED FOR THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION BY MUNICIPAL DEVELOPMENT
GROUP DATED JULY 1987 AND AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION BY AMENDING CHAPTER ll, UTILITIES,
SECTION 3, WATER AND SEWER SERVICE MAIN EXTENSION POLICIES, BY
ADDING SUBSECTION H. FOXFIRE AND SANDSTONE SUBDIVISIONS SANITARY
SEWER SERVICE MASTER PLAN AND ENFORCEMENT.
WHEREAS, The Foxfire and Sandstone Subdivisions are partially
served with Public Sanitary Sewer: and
WHEREAS, The City Council, thru its previous actions, has allowed
extentions to be made from the existing Public Sanitary Sewer to
serve additional properties and upon completion has accepted the
same as a part of the Public Sanitary Sewer System; and
WHEREAS, The City Council recognizes the need for the development
of effecient infrastructure systems which serve the most citizens
at the least practical cost; and
WHEREAS, The City Council recognizes that development of a formal
Master Plan by persons professionally competent in such matters
is necessary to accomplish such effeciency of operation and has
engaged MDG of College Station, Texas to prepare such a Master
Plan; and
WHEREAS, The City Council further recognizes that the
implementation of such a Master Plan is essential for the orderly
development of infrastructure systems; and
WHEREAS, the City Council with the passage of this ordinance
adopts the MASTER SANITARY SEWER PLAN for the Foxfire Area as
prepared by Municipal Development Group dated July 1987 as the
plan to be followed for future extentions of the City's Sanitary
sewer system in the Foxfire Area;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS,
I.
That Chapter 11, Section 3 of the City's Code of Ordinances is
hereby amended by adding a subsection to be numbered H. Said
subsection shall read as follows:

H. FOXFIRE AND SANDSTONE SUBDIVISIONS SANITARY ZENZE SERVICE
MASTER PLAN AND ENFORCEMENT
The master sanitary sewer plan for the Foxfire drainage
basin as prepared by Municipal Development Group dated
July 1987 shall be interpreted, implemented and enforced
by the office of the City Engineer for the purpose of
providing an effecient sanitary sewer system to serve
the area.
(2) Design 9f 5&XpL Lines
Sewer lines shall be designed and constructed with the
approval and inspection of the City Engineer in
accordance with all city standards. The design shall
comply with the location, provide the same capacity (as
a minimum) and serve the area as described in the Design
Report for Master Sanitary Sewer Plan for Foxfire Area,
College Station, Brazos County, Texas, July 1987.

Compliance shall be a prerequisite to the City of
College Station accepting and maintaining the line
extention as a part of its public infrastructure system
and providing sanitary sewer service to the residents in
the designated Foxfire drainage basin.
II.
And it is ordained that this ordinance shall become effective
from and after its passage in accordance with the City Charter of
the City of College Station.
