AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 DEFINITIONS, OF ORDINANCE
NO. 1638, THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, SPECIFICALLY TO REMOVE UNIVERSITY AFFILIATION
REQUIREMENTS FROM THE DORMITORY DEFINITION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station,
Texas, held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7=00 p.m.
on Thursday, September 13,1990, on the question of amending
the dormitory definition;
AND WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to amend this
section;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS=
Amend Section 2 to read:
DORMITORY: Any structure specifically designed for the
exclusive purpose of housing students of a university,
college, or school, excepting resident staff, end-wh~eh-~s
w~h~-~he-ew~e~sh~p-e~-e~-~s-een~e~ed-a~-epe~a~e~-by

This ordinance shall become effective from and after its
passage in accordance with the City Charter of the City of
College Station.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED this 13th day of September,
1990.
