HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-1812 - Ordinance - 06/22/1989ORDINANCE NO. 1812 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, SECTION 2 OF THE COLLEGE STATION CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES AND SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATING ADDITIONAL STREETS AND ALLEYWAYS IN THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION WHICH ARE DESIGNATED AS ONE-WAY STREETS; RESCINDING ALL PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING THAT ATTENDANT FACTS NECESSITATE IMMEDIATE ACTION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS; That Chapter 10, Section 2 of the Code of Ordinances, City of College Station, Texas, is hereby amended by adding a sub -section, to be numbered sub -section J, which said sub- section shall read as follows: "J. ONE-WAY STREETS AND ALLEYWAYS The city hereby designates certain streets and alleyways to be controlled by one-way signs. The designated one-way streets and alleyways for the City of College Station are described in Traffic Control Device Inventory - Schedule VII, (dated June 1, 1989) on file in the office of the City Secretary. This schedule is hereby adopted and incorporated in this Code as if set out at length herein and amended to include the following one- way streets and or alleyways. (1) Alleyway on the south boundary of the Southgate Shopping Center. This alleyway shall be signed one-way traveling from Montclair Avenue to Highland Street. A current schedule shall be maintained by the city secretary at all times." nn�6So II. WHEREAS, the preservation of the general welfare of the public necessitates immediate action, this Ordinance shall be effective from and after the date of its passage as provided by the Charter of the City of College Station. 'is ty Secretar (71ey of College Station n 0 5 6 8 1 Traffic Control Device Inventory - Schedule VII One -Way Streets and Alleyways - 6/1/89 The following streets and alleyways in the City of College Station shall be signed for one-way operation following guidelines described in the Texas Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices: 1.) Patricia Street - one-way traveling from College Main to Lodge Street. 2.) Williams Street - one-way traveling from Gilchrist Avenue to Francis Drive. 3.) Caudill Street - one-way traveling from Lawyer Street to Langford Street only during the hours of 7:30 - 4:00. 4.) Lodge Street - one-way traveling from University Drive to Church Street. 5.) Mile Drive - one-way at the intersection of the SH-6 west frontage road. r , no "8
