HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-1808 - Ordinance - 04/27/1989ORDINANCE NO. 1808 AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 16.44 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE IN COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM DISTRICT R-4 APARTMENT/LOW DENSITY TO DISTRICT R-1 SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 27, 1989 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the City Limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League in College Station, Brazos County, Texas, being a part of that 22.09 acre tract conveyed to W. D. Fitch by deed recorded in Volume 1078, Page 293 of the Official Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning in the northwest line of Deacon Drive, S 42' 08' 25" W - 330.00 feet from the southwest line of Southwood Valley section 24A addition to the City of College Station, Texas, according to plat of record in Volume 805, Page 221 of the Official Records of Brazos County, Texas, which is also located in the southwest line of that 36.61 acre tract rezoned from R-4 to R-1 by ordinance No. 1611 of the City of College Station. Thence N 47' 51' 35" W - 597.43 feet along the southwest line of the said 36.61 acre tract to an angle point; Thence N 62' 25' 58" W - 54.20 feet continuing along the southwest line of the said 36.61 acre tract to an angle point; Thence N 34' 47' 54" W - 133.90 feet continuing along the southwest line of the said 36.61 acre tract to the southeast line of Southwood Valley section 23 addition to the City of College Station, Texas, according to plat of record in Volume 525, Page 647 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas; Thence S 55' 12' 06" W - 50.83 feet along the southeast line of Southwood Valley section 23 to the most southerly corner of same; Thence S 42' 41' 23" W - 867.15 feet along the northwest line of the said 22.09 acre tract to the most westerly corner of same; Thence S 47' 51' 35" E - 800.13 feet along the southwest line of the said 22.09 acre tract to the northwest line of Deacon Drive; Thence N 42' 08' 25" E - 900.00 feet along the northwest line of Deacon Drive to the Point of Beginning and containing 16.44 acres of land more or less, from District R-4 Apartment/Low Density to n05626 District R-1 Single Family Residential. And, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately. PASSED AND APPROVED this 27th day of April, 1989.
