AN ORDINANCE REZONING AN 18.55 ACRE TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND LYING
AND BRING SITUATED IN THE RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE, ABSTRACT NO. 8,
COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE, FROM R-1
SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL TO C-2 COMMERCIAL INDUSTRIAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City council held a public hearing in the City Hall
at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 9, 1989, on the question of
rezoning certain areas within the City Limits:
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of an 18.55 acre tract or
parcel of land, lying and being situated in the Richard Carter
League, Abstract No. 8, College Station, Brazos County, Texas,
and being all that same 18.55 acre tract conveyed from Robert
Welch, Trustee, to Republic Bank A & M, as described by deed
recorded in Volume 948, Page 803 of the Official Records of
Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly described as
follows:
BEGINNING at the southernmost corner of said 18.55 acre
tract, and being in the northeast right-of-way line of Texas
State Highway no. 6 East Bypass.
THENCE N 29029'58" W for a distance of 546.76 feet with said
right-of-way line to a point for angle.
THENCE N 36005'33" W for a distance of 819.59 feet with said
right-of-way line to a point for corner.
THENCE N 76'22'34" E for a distance of 574.37 feet to a
point for corner.
THENCE S 54046146" E for a distance of 1002.24 feet to a
point for corner.
THENCE S 41056'36" W for a distance of 934.97 feet to the
PLACE OF BEGINNING, and containing 18.55 acres of land, more or
less, from R-1 Single Family Residential to C-2 Commercial
Industrial.

And, it is ordained that said change shall become effective
immediately.
