HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-1900 - Ordinance - 06/27/1991ORDINANCE NO, 1900 AN ORDINANCE REZONING A TRACT OF LAND SITUATED OUT OF THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE, BEING A PART OF LOT 38 IN BLOCK 14 OF SOUTHWOOD SECTION 25 ADDITION TO THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION ACCORDING TO PLAT OF RECORD IN VOLUME 316, PAGE 687 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS FROM R-6 APARTMENT BUILDINGS HIGH DENSITY TO C-I GENERAL COMMERCIAL. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall Council Chambers at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 27, 1991, on the question of rezoning certain areas within the City limits: AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of a tract of land situated in the Crawford Burnett League in College Station, Brazos County, Texas, being a Dart of Lot 38 in Block 14 of Southwood section 25 addition to the City of College Station according to plat of record in Volume 316, Page 687 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas from R-6 Apartment Buildings High Density to C-1 General Commercial. More specifically described as follows: Beginning in the southwest line of Southwood Drive at the common corner of Lots 38 and 39 in Block 14 of the said Southwood section 25. Thence, S 469 22' 47" W - 100.00 feet along the line between Lot 38 and Lot 39 to an angle point; Thence, S 69 30' 44" W - 109.22 feet continuing along the line between Lot 38 and Lot 39 to an angle point; Thence, S 469 22' 47" W - 86.05 feet continuing along the line between Lot 38 and Lot 39 to the rear common corner of Lot 39D and Lot 39E according to Plat of record in Volume 350, Page 735 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas; Thence, N 439 37' 13" W - 76.00 feet through Lot 38 to the most westerly corner of this tract; Thence, N 469 22' 47" E - 270.99 feet through Lot 38 to the southwest line of Southwood Drive; Thence, along the arc of a curve in the southwest line of Southwood Drive (R = 438.40') through a central angle of 0~ 47' 48", the chord of which bears S 3~ 03' 09" E - 6.09 feet to the Point of Beginning and containing 0.24 acres of land more or less. AND, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately. PASSED AND APPROVED this 27th day of June, 1991.
