AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, SECTION 2C, OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION RELATING TO FOUR-WAY
STOP INTERSECTIONS, AND DECLARING THAT ATTENDANT FACTS
NECESSITATE IMMEDIATE ACTION.
WHEREAS, the City Council met at its regular meeting on July
22, 1992, and found that it would be in the best interest and
safety of the citizens to amend Chapter 10, Section 2C, of the
Code of Ordinances by adding stop signs at the following
intersections~
(1) Rio Grande Drive Northbound at Deacon Drive; and,
(2) Rio Grande Drive Southbound at Deacon Drive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COLLEGE STATION:
That Chapter 10, Section 2C, of the Code of Ordinances is
hereby amended as follows~
"C. FOUR-WAY STOP INTERSECTIONS
The City hereby designates certain intersections to be
controlled by four-way stop signs.. The designated four-
way stop intersections for the City of College Station
are described in Traffic Control Device Inventory -
Schedule II (dated August 2, 1988, as amended) on file in
the office of the City Secretary. This schedule is
hereby adopted and incorporated in this Code as if set
out at length herein to and amended to include the
following four way-stop intersections:
(1) Rio Grande Drive Northbound at Deacon Drive; and,
(2) Rio Grande Drive Southbound at Deacon Drive.
The schedule may be amended from time to time by ordi-
nance of the City Council. A current schedule shall be
maintained by the City Secretary at all times."
II.
The preservation of the general welfare of the public necessi-
tates immediate action. This Ordinance shall be effective
from and after the date of its passage as provided by the
Charter of the City of College Station.
