HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-1966 - Ordinance - 07/09/1992ORDIN~NCE NO. 1966 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF A PUBLIC ELECTRICAL EASEMENT LOCATED ON LOT 18, BLOCK 11, BRANDON HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION, COLLEGE STATION MORE COMMONLY KNOWN AS 701 DOVER DRIVE. WHEREAS, the City of College Station, has received an Applica- tion for the Abandonment of a Portion of a public electrical easement which lies on Lot 18, Block 11, Brandon Heights Sub- division, known as 701 Dover Drive, as shown by plat recorded in Volume 1214, Page 178, of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and more particularly described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and WHEREAS, on July 9, 1992, the city Council of the City of College Station, Texas, heard the application of Sherman Click for the vacation and abandonment of a portion of the public electrical easement which lies on Lot 18, Block 11, Brandon Heights Subdivision; NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, that a five foot (5') wide strip of land previously platted as an electrical easement which lies on Lot 18, Block 11, Brandon Heights Subdivision, in the City of College Station, more particularly described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, be abandoned and vacated; that the Mayor and City Secretary be authorized to convey by quit claim deed on behalf of the City of College Station any right or claim which the City has in said to said five foot (5') wide strip of land to Sherman Click.
