AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF A PUBLIC RIGHT-
OF-WAY SITUATED ADJACENT TO BLOCK 8A, COLLEGE PARK ADDITION IN
THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, MORE COMMONLY KNOWN AS
GALLOWAY AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the City of College Station, has received an Application
for the Abandonment of a Portion of a Public Right-of-Way which
lies adjacent to Block SA, College Park, known as Galloway
Avenue, as shown by plat recorded in Volume 38, Page 602, of the
Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and more particularly de-
scribed on Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, on January 23, 1992, the City Council of the City of
college Station, Texas, heard the application of A.B. Adams and
Jean Lipe for the vacation and abandonment of said portion of the
public right-of-way which lies adjacent to Block SA, College Park
Addition;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the city Council of the City of
College Station, Texas, that the portion of the public right-of-
way previously platted which lies adjacent to Block SA, College
Park Addition, in the city of College Station, more particularly
described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, be abandoned and
vacated; that the Mayor and City Secretary be authorized to
convey by quit claim deed on behalf of the City of College Sta-
tion any right or claim which the city has in public right-of-way
to A.B. Adams and Jean Lipe.
PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED this 23rd day of January, 1992.
