AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PORTIONS OF CHAPTER 4, SECTION 4-B, OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, PERTAINING TO
SPECIAL EVENTS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COLLEGE STATION:

That Chapter 4 Section 4-B(5), of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College Station,
Texas, is hereby amended to read as fo lows:
"(5)
The term "Special Event" as used in this ord!nance shall mean a for-p, ro.flt
or non-profit event to which the public is invited, held on public or private
~roperty, at which over 250 individuals attend, and held outside the con-
nas of a building or permanent structure. The term includes but is not
limited to any meeting entertainment, performance, show, exhibition, or
amusement. The term does not include gatherings for ath et c events that
are held in facilities designed for athletic events."

That Chapter 4, Section 4-G, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College Station,
Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"G.
Upon submission of application, an application fee shall be submitted.
The apphcation fee shall be set by the City Council by resolution from
time-to-time as the Council deems necessary. This application fee does
not apply to a non-profit organization that is holding a special event."

This ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage in accordance with the
City Charter of the City of College Station.
