HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-2019 - Ordinance - 07/08/1993ORDINANCE NO. 20].9 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF A TWEN'FY FOOT WIDE PUBLIC UTILITY, DRAINAGE AND SLOPE CONTROL EASEMENT WHICH CROSSES AND LIES WITHIN LOT 10, BLOCK 4, WINDWOOD PHASE III (MORE COMMONLY KNOWN AS 2718 BROOKWAY, IN THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS. WHEREAS, the City of College StOlon, has received an Application for the Abandonment of a portion of a twenty foot public utility, drainage and slope control easement which crcesas and lies within Lot 10, Block 4, Windwood Phase II1, more commonly known as 2718 Brookway, in the City of College Station, more particularly described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and WHEREAS, on July 8, 1993, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, heard the application of Noble Handy for the vacation and abandonment of the twenty foot public utility, drainage and slope control easement which crosses and lies within Lot 10, Block 4, Windwood Phase III, according to the plat recorded in Volume 527, Page 585 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas; NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the C~y Council of the City of College Station, Texas, that a twenty foot wide strip of land previously platted as a public utility, drainage and slope control easement which crosses and lies within Lot 10, Block 4, Phase Windwood . III, more commonly known as 2718 Brookway, in the City of College Station, be abandoned and vacated; that the Mayor and City Secretary be authorized to convey by quit claim deed on behalf of theCity of College Station any right or claim which the City has in and to said twenty foot wide strip of land to Noble Handy. PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED this 8th day of July, 1993. APPROVED: ~JT~h~ndy
